Since 2019, we have run the business based largely from our home in St Neots, Cambs. We have a workshop/studio space where we work, store stock and also have a number of customers visit us throughout the week to collect items they have purchased. We sell online through this website and a number of other online and social channels, including eBay, Etsy, Instagram and Facebook Marketplace. You can find us on all of these channels under theshopatforty.
We also continue to sell in some physical locations, both locally and further afield. Details of our current stockists are can be found below. Whilst you can’t buy our items online through these stockists just yet, they will be delighted to see you and point you in our direction!
In the coastal North Norfolk village of Ringstead, just 2 miles from Old Hunstanton, The General Store has a wide and varied range of everyday goods and artisanal food and drink. They also host Hidden Treasures, a labyrinth of rooms and cellars selling one off antiques, recycled items and hand crafted unique gifts and soft furnishings from a range of local artisans and crafts people. We are delighted to sell a range of our items at The General Store. You can find us at the very back of the store where you’ll see a selection of furniture and retro and vintage homewares. Located in St Ives, Cambs, The Courtyard is part of Hyperion Auction Rooms. With over 30 independent dealers selling a range of goods, there is something for everyone at The Courtyard.
Open 7 days a week, you’ll find our ‘pod’ in a prominent corner of the site, where we have a range of our items available to buy direct from the Courtyard. We’re there every Thursday morning from 9am till 1pm so would love to see you. We can also arrange local delivery for any items you buy, so please don’t hesitate to ask us about delivery of any item.
The Courtyard is also home to our refill station, Fill at Forty, where you will find a large range of household, laundry, hair and body products in bulk available for you to refill your own containers, cutting down on your plastic usage considerably. Find out more here.
