Vintage James Dixon & Sons Sheffield Pewter Hot Water Jug

An attractive vintage pewter hot water jug by renowned Sheffield metalware manufacturer James Dixon & Sons.

Featuring a distinctive Arts & Crafts-inspired design with a beautifully textured hammered finish, elegant curved spout, shaped wooden handle and matching wooden lid finial.

Believed to date from the early 20th century, although the exact age is unconfirmed.

The underside bears the original James Dixon & Sons Sheffield maker’s mark.

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear and patina consistent with use. The wooden handle is secure and the hinged lid opens and closes correctly. There is a small dent on the lower part of one side - see pics.

A lovely example of traditional Sheffield metalware, ideal for collectors of vintage pewter or Arts & Crafts decorative pieces.

Please study the photographs as they form part of the description.
